I’m british, I love Tea! I think there is something special about sitting down with friends or family and chatting over a cup of Earl Grey. I don’t know what it is, but there is a saying in my family that ‘Tea is the best medicine for anyones problems’.
When Rico came over the London this past August, we spent an afternoon at Claridges for Afternoon Tea. Such a royal and sophisticated feel to the Mayfair Hotel that makes anyone feel comfortable and classy. However, I was sitting there and annoying Rico by telling him how I wanted to change the decor and what I would do
The tea and food was great BTW! highly recommended if anyone is visiting the City in he near future <3
I was inspired to do an Afternoon Tea type setting today. It was quickly thrown together in about 20 minutes using some of my favorite items I have discovered in the past couple of weeks! This features the Amazing Candles and Tea set I featured in yesterdays post from PETITE MAISON. Some of my favorite tulips from TATTY SOUP which I feel look good on any dining table, TATTY SOUPS new curtain collection and some accessories from MUDHONEY and POST. I also used my new FAV chairs from CHEEKYPEA which I found this week while decorating Redgrave Hall and searching for the perfect ones!
So yeah, pretty, elegant, classy yet a laid back comfortable feel to this set. Hope you like it and get inspired!
